The high pool shelter

To help you choose your pool shelter, we will list here all the advantages of a high pool shelter.   As it can measure up to three metres high, the choice of this type of shelter depends on what use you wish to make of your pool and of the amount of space you have at your disposal.  What you can be sure of is that this shelter is ideal for those who wish to have a swim all year round.

The high pool shelter

A fixed shelter allows you to use the pool in all weathers, but it cannot be opened or uncovered in hot weather. However, some models, like those with roof windows, can be partially opened.  Models with sliding doors or panels also exist.

The telescopic version of the high shelter allows you to uncover the pool completely during the summer months. A motorized opening system may be necessary, if your shelter is made of heavy material which is difficult to manoeuvre.

Unlike the low shelter, the high shelter tends to stand out in the landscape.  You should therefore think carefully about the model you choose, and about the colour and materials it is made from.  Some manufacturers propose models which are attached to your house ! The advantages of this model are that it adds only a few metres to the side of your house, and that this space can be used a living space, like a veranda.

Finally, you must also consider the price of this type of shelter, as it is the most expensive type available. Furthermore, you may need to install a system to heat the water, as well as the surrounding air if you wish to use the pool all year round.  As well as this, the difference in temperature between the air inside and outside the shelter will create humidity.  If may therefore be wise to install a system to dehumidify the air.

Although it is expensive, a high shelter allows you to have a genuine indoor swimming pool.  You can eventually add a hammam, a spa or a shower to render your pool even more convivial !
