Moulding a lawn

This consists of spreading a thin layer of mould or highly decomposed compost on the lawn in order to feed it organic matter.  It will also stimulate the microbic activity in your soil.

Over the years your lawn surface deteriorates and moulding every 2 or 3 years revigorates it and makes it greener.

At the end of Summer or in Spring, spread a layer of your mixture 0,5 to 1 cm. thick over the lawn with a rake to male sure it gets to the base of the grass.  When the lawn starts growing again, you will notice it is greener, more lively and in better health.  Count between 5 and 10 litres per square metre.

It is best to mould after your lawn has been scarified or ventilated.  The mould will reach the roots of the grass quicker.
