Preservation of bulbs

Preservation of bulbsFirst, choose the biggest and best-looking bulbs, then get rid of the small bnulbs which may grow around them.

Keep them in a cool place, to avoid them vegetating too soon.  Keep them away from frost, in a garage or a basement, for example.

Place them in a small box on newspaper or on sawdust, which protects them from humidity.  Be sure not to cover them, so as to allow for a good ventilation, which protects them from diseases. You can place a wire mesh or a net on top to keep rodents away.

Label the boxes correctly, keeping them out of reach of children, who can quickly make astounding mixtures !
