Reptiles

"Reptile" means 'those who crawl', even though not all of these creatures do so.  Almost all reptiles have scales and are oviparous, meaning that they lay eggs.  With the exception of birds (and probably dinosaurs) they are cold-blooded animals whose body temperature varies.
